Is Guardian Infill USDA certified?

Yes, Guardian Infill has earned the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Certified Biobased Product Label for Guardian Biobased TPE Infill.  

Biobased products help address climate change by offering renewable alternatives to petroleum-based products; sequester carbon dioxide, lowering the concentration of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere that contribute to climate change; create and expand markets; are generally safer for people and the environment than their petroleum-based counterparts; and represent incredible technological advances and innovations.

The USDA Certified Biobased Product Label displays a product’s biobased content, which is the portion of a product that comes from a renewable source, such as plant, animal, marine, or forestry feedstocks. Utilizing renewable biobased materials displaces the need for non-renewable petroleum-based chemicals. Biobased products are cost-comparative, readily available, and perform as well as or better than their conventional counterparts.

How do you make Guardian Infill?

Guardian Infill is manufactured in Prairie MS.  We extrude a high melt polymer with corn and soy oil, a reflective additive and 30% air into multi-shaped, nonporous  pellets.  The five shapes and sizes of pellets lock together within turf fibers for optimal rotational resistance, energy restitution, ball rebound and minimal splash and migration.

How is Guardian Infill shipped?

Guardian Biobased TPE Infill is shipped in 1,600 and 1,700 lb. supersacks loaded 26/truck.

Is Guardian Infill safe in case of water runoff?

We have rainbow trout testing and an average specific gravity of 1.18 to eliminate float risk.

Is there a risk of melt with Guardian Infill?

There is no risk of melt or agglomeration. Guardian Infill has a melt temp of over 350°F and we have third party testing backing this.

What is the lead time?

Guardian Infill is available to ship next-day.  We maintain a minimum of 500,000 lbs. at all times.
