In 2022, the NFL began mandating Guardian Caps for all 32 NFL teams through the first preseason game for all OL, DL, TEs, and LBs. The result? The Caps "exceeded expectations."
Mandated by the NFL for all OL, DL, LB, DB, TE, WR, RB, FB for 2024 contact practices. Additionally, all NFL players are now permitted to wear Guardian Caps during games for the 2024 season.
No helmet, practice apparatus, or helmet pad can prevent or eliminate the risk of concussions or other serious head injuries while playing sports. Researchers have not reached an agreement on how the results of impact absorption tests relate to concussions. No conclusions about a reduction of risk or severity of concussive injury should be drawn from impact absorption tests.
** The NFL Model has an additional layer of padding (green interior) to accommodate NFL speeds; this adds a few extra ounces that we do not recommend for youth/high school players. The Guardian Cap NXT is ONLY for NFL athletes and college linemen. NXT Caps must be ordered through a rep.

The NFL NXT Model was designed for NFL athletes and college linemen.
The NFL Model has an additional layer of padding (green interior) to accommodate NFL speeds; this adds a few extra ounces that we do not recommend for youth/high school players, so NXT orders are available through a sales rep only.
